With over a decade's worth of experience grinding for tech start up companies based in New York City and San Francisco, I created Swell because I saw a gap in the small business world that I also had a personal tie to. As the daughter of a maker with a small business, I've seen firsthand that marketing is not only not a strong suit of most creatives, but not even on their radar. And to hire a marketing agency that could actually help their business grow was simply too expensive to be an option.
